Lulu Chen has an unparalleled background incorporating Merchandising, Sales, Advertising, Public Relations/ Marketing, Magazines, Styling, Production and Art Direction; making her a uniquely talented Creative Director that integrates the creative with strategy to narrate each brand’s story. 

Biography

Drawing on walls since the age of four and painting formally since the age of nine, Lulu has an inherent love of art and imagery. She established high creative standards and values having spent her formative years at Giorgio Armani, Barneys New York and Lynne Franks London.

Working in Beauty and Fashion PR after college she yearned for more creative challenges and moved into the editorial space where she learned to achieve beautiful visual results from concept to completion while producing and styling at Glamour and Self  Magazine. 

Embarking on a freelance fashion career in 2004, Lulu has traveled the world and contributed to a wide range of publications including Gourmet, In Style, Nylon, Travel+Leisure, Vanity Fair, Vogue India and Vogue Sposa. She worked on advertising campaigns and catalogues for American Express, Anthropologie, Lane Bryant, Target and Victoria’s Secret and helped produce New York Fashion Week shows for Balenciaga, Proenza Schouler, Roland Mouret and Vera Wang.

In keeping with emerging trends and technologies, Lulu extended her art and creative direction to the digital retail space in 2011. She works regularly with premium brands such as Amazon, Ann Taylor, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s and Ralph Lauren.

Lulu maintains a core belief that every project deserves an elevated concept and stellar execution, regardless of audience or medium. She offers a professional approach to the process and a love of exceptional work.

A graduate of The University of Michigan with a BFA concentration in Graphic Design, Lulu is currently based in New York City.
